When Anberlin announced that they were going to record their third major label release with Aaron Sprinkle, the anticipation of this record couldn’t be overstated. “New Surrender” and “Dark is the Way, Light is a Place” certainly had its share of disappointed fans. Could this be the Anberlin record that brings back the sound that fans have been waiting for since their magnum opus, “Cities”? After several listens it’s safe to say that “Vital” is the album that will remind fans why they fell in love with Anberlin all those years ago.
